Kids Eat Smart

Because all children have the right to adequate nutritious food, Kids Eat Smart works with schools and community centres to set up and support Kids Eat Smart Clubs that are accessible to all within that community. All are welcome and there is no registration process, however, monetary/ food item donations are greatly appreciated. Most Clubs operate in the morning and serve breakfast or snack, but some serve lunch or an afternoon snack.

Volunteers are there because they care

The people who operate Kids Eat Smart Clubs are not paid by Kids Eat Smart Foundation for their work. Volunteers are parents, teachers, students, businesses, members of church groups, members of community groups and others. They are there because they care, and their caring creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We remind students to thank the volunteers when they are served and say “thank you” when they are finished – kind words go a long way and help to keep our school a safe and caring learning environment.
