Our spring concert was a big success! We had the gym filled with parents, guardians, students, staff and community members. From singing and dancing to acting and reading poetry .. there was never a dull moment.
Thanks you to all that helped out in making our night special.
Author and illustrator Jeremy Tankard visited our school and read to our students. Students loved learning how this author creates characters that jump right off the page! Grumpy Bird seems to be a favorite character to readers young and old.
Thank you to the parents that came out to support this young author.
Our annual Bike-a-Thon was a huge success. We raised over $2000.00 for the Kids Eat Smart lunch program: thank you to all the families that helped fundraise.
We had a great day riding around Gunners Cove with an RCMP escort. We had games in the gym afterwards and BBQ Hotdogs for dinner. Thanks so all the parents and guardians that helped out on our special day.

White Hills Trip
Our Grade 6 students are off to the high school next year. We will miss them so much!
In preparation for their transition to High School, students had their tour of White Hills this week. They traveled on the high school bus, had a tour of the school, and had classes with their new classmates. Thank you to White Hills Academy for having us!
Special thanks to Principal Mr. Parsons for giving us our tour, Mrs. Tucker for letting us join her class for the day and bus drivers Ed Parr and Chris McGonigle for getting our students to and from school safe and sound.
Truman Eddison Memorial had their Science Fair on Friday June 19th.
Staff wanted to end the year off with a fun educational event and a Science fair that has cross-cultural links and is fun to work on at home. All the students had fun presenting their projects: thank you to Science teachers Mr. Bennett, Ms. Dimmer and Ms. Parsons for hosting the event.
Grade 6 Field Trip
Our Grade 6’s are off to White Hills Academy next year and as a last celebration, Ms. Marche and Ms. Dimmer took them on a field trip to St. Anthony.
The students went swimming, to Jungle Jim’s for supper, for a walk to the Friendship Park and the back to Tim’s to end off a great night!
On behalf of the students and staff here at TEM, we wish the grade 6’s the best of luck next year at WHA.
Kindergarten Fun Night
Kindergarten students and their families participated in our fun night on June 19th. We had dinner at Northern Delight, which was delicious as usual, and then came back to the school for pictures, cake and games.
From games in the gym, to a school side scavenger hunt, fun was had by all! Many thanks go out to the parents who helped decorated and clean - up. It was very much appreciated.
Swimming in St. Anthony
Students traveled to St. Anthony for a mini field trip to the pool. The students had a sooooo much fun time swimming!
“Can’t wait to go again next year” one student shouted with excitement when they were getting off the bus!
Thank you to those parents who came to watch our little swimmers!
Sports Day 2015
Sports day was a blast! Students played outdoors all morning. We had a 3 legged and potato sac races, egg and spoon relay, race around the school and a tug-of-war competition. All teams had fun, played fair and cheered each other on. The winners of the spirit teams were announced at the end:
Shining Stars – 1st Place
North Stars – 2nd Place
Shooting Stars – 3rd Place
Congratulations to our students who showed their school spirit all year long! From dressing up silly on dress up days and eating fruit on Fruity Fridays, to competing in sports days, we are all winners this year!
A special thanks to the parents who came to help out!
